The Simple Habit of Starting Your Day Without Your Phone

You get out bed and first thing you do is stretch your arm and pick your phone. On trying to put it on, it's low and no electricity to change it; you feel disappointed.
You can start a very successful day without your phone

What if instead of going to your phone first thing in the morning, you pick your Bible and empower yourself spiritually? What if you pick up a pen and paper and write the things you need to do for the day or things you are grateful for?

When you thank and invite God to guide your activities in a day, you get out refreshed and strong to overcome any obstacles placed by fellow human beings or demons. A review of your to-do-list will show at least  50% or more accomplishments of  tasks by the end of the day.

Starting with your phone only sets your physical self with no spiritual backup and to-do-list into a day full of many challenges. You end up pressurized and confused with no real results to show. Reason because you started your day with your phone ; no guide to help you through.

Today, make it a habit to read your Bible first thing out of bed, after that make a to-do-list, then check one or two important messages from your phone. These keep you informed to get into meaningful conversations in the course of the day. Information is power.

Reaching out to your phone first thing in the morning can lead you into a message that may spoil your entire day. A message that can make you forget to empower yourself spiritually as well as write to-do-list to make your day more productive with no comparison or pressure.

Why Sitting Quietly for 5 Minutes a Day Can Change Your Mood

Life feels like a constant rush, and it’s hard to catch a break. Even when you try to relax, your mind keeps racing with tasks, comparisons, and “what’s next.”

Sitting quietly for just five minutes a day can help you reset. You don’t need fancy tools or a perfect setup—just a small pause in your day.

Studies show that even short periods of quiet can reduce stress and improve mood. People who take small daily breaks often feel calmer and more focused.

Try this: find a quiet spot, close your eyes, and just notice your breathing. Let thoughts come and go without judging them, and practice this for five minutes each day.

Today, pick a time—even if it’s morning or before bed—to sit quietly for five minutes. Notice how it makes your mind lighter and your mood calmer.

Happiness grows from small, simple habits like this, not from pushing yourself too hard. By pausing, reflecting, and being present, you can feel more peaceful without pressure, comparison, or perfection.

Why Comparing Your Productivity to High Performers Lead to Anxiety

You read through a long to-do-list presented by your peer a few minutes after writing yours. You turn around and start looking at yours as scanty and worthless.

Why not focus on what you can accomplish without stress? Why not determine to get your results and not someone else's?

Most of the items written on a to-do-list are hardly accomplished. Some people write it just to show how big their goal is but less than 30% of what was written is actually done.

Coming up with a to-do-list after a careful reflection, is the best thing to do. This will lead to focus and true results leading fulfilment and happiness.

Today, before writing a to-do-list, reflect just what you can do,  not minding what others have on their list. Do this your way and let the results be yours, not someone else's.

Happiness grows from simple habits, honest reflection, not pressure or comparison that leads to anxiety.

The Trap of Overanalyzing Every Mistake

You spend time fishing out the mistakes a friend make in a discussion . You want to correct the grammar,  meaning and many others.

Picture Showing Someone who wants to remain perfect

Why not listen attentively to get his or her point of view? Why not focus on the message than  picking out  mistakes?

No body on earth is perfect; perfection belongs  to God alone. Any language is learned and a mistake is part of the learning process.

Happiness grows from simple habits and meaningful conversations-not perfection.

If you spend time analyzing people's mistakes, you will hardly live a happy life. You will be struggling to be perfect which is impossible.

 My humble belief.
